Freight Forwarding Charging Station

Hi all,

I recently ordered a portable charging station from Amazon US for my drone. I got it shipped to AusPost's ShopMate service after checking that it complied with the battery regulations, but still got knocked back as they don't ship any mobile charging stations it seems. This is the product I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/Smatree-Portable-Charging-Station-Spa…

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with other freight forwarding companies in shipping a portable charger from the US to Australia?

Cheers!

  • Try shipito, Few months back I managed to get some items with li-po/li-ion batteries inside. But I had to contact the suppliers/manufacturers myself and obtain the msds for each battery and lodge with shipito before it was shipped to Australia.

  • Seeing that this is just a power supply/charger, it should have no problems with being transported by mail. I'm sure someone has looked at it, seen LiPo battery charger and hit the panic button, thinking it contains a lithium battery which they don't like handling. I'd try contacting them again and ask them to re-examine and reconsider the item as it contains NO lithium battery product which would exclude it being carried.

EDIT: just realised it is a power bank as well. Some countries don't like handling lithium batteries at all, even if they are a built-in item like this, and not loose cells.
