What Is The Best G-Sync Ultrawide?

Looking at getting an ultrawide gaming monitor with G-Sync… With the current ebay plus sales ive narrowed the search to the following:

Acer Predator X34 $953

Acer Predator Z35P $1110

AOC Agon AG352UCG $935

Does anyone have any experience with the above listed? Is the extra dollars worth it for the Z35P?

  • just wondering what is G sync?

    • It's an Nvidia technology that syncs the monitor refresh rate to the game framerate which means no ugly tearing occurs if a game framerate falls below the monitor refresh rate.

I would carefully evaluate the non X34 choices.

I own an X34 now and I'd be buying something else if it broke right now because of it's age. That's easily the best price I've ever seen for it but I wouldn't be surprised if the other two are better but I can't recommend them as I haven't researched. Try finding reviews at Blurbusters, TFT central or Toms's Hardware, I usually use these sites.

  • I bought the x34… was so close to going the aoc based on what i read online… native 100hz was a big factor in almost swaying me… just hope i dont get one of the poor quality x34's that seem to be quite common!

  • Sorry for chiming in on an old thread, but I've only just joined.

Of those 3 choices, I would go the AOC. My reasons:
    - The X34 is native 60hz and is supposed to overclock to 100, but Acer will not replace it under warranty if it can't hit 100. Too bad if you can only get it to 75.
    - I'm not a gambling man, so playing the IPS back light bleed lottery is not for me :-)
    - The Z35P has a max resolution of 2560x1080p. That is not good enuf when you're spending this sort of money. The other 2 are both 3440x1440.

Once again, these are just my thoughts.
