  I need a new wok, how do I know what is good? I am currently using an electric one but would be happy to go non-electric. I have induction hotplates.

    Was wondering the same. I had a look at the spec sheet for the wok and the bottom surface doesn't look like it would work on induction.

      it definitely works on induction, the bottom is flat and cast iron is a beast on induction.

        @wheresthebeef: Looks flat to me. On page 3 the wok is placed on its flat bottom. But it isn't flat as in a surface without ridges. An induction cooktop won't care about the ridges but the bottom cannot be convex.

        Yep I was referring to the ridges not a curve. Was under the impression that the ridges would be an issue on an induction.

  I don't think using cast iron wok is a good idea. I much prefer carbon steel as it heats faster and lighter to do tossing.
