Great price for the Samsung T5 portable SSD 1TB

It says 239.99 EUR via Amazon.it … but the VAT gets removed when you ship to Australia which gets the price down to 196.71 EUR . Shipping costs are 15.33 EUR.
So you get it for around $335.22 (depending on your exchange rate of your credit card). Should be the cheapest price so far.

Not sure how long the deal will last.

  • yikes. You'd have to really be in a hurry.

  • What about GST? In case it does not reach our shores by Friday, which is very likely.?

  • With the new GST on low imports - is it for items arriving after July 1st or items purchased after July 1st… You'd think it would be a little clearer!

I’d assume it’s for sales after June 31, not based on ship date. Tax should be tied to the invoice not the delivery.

      • Yeah you'd think so, but I haven't read something definitive. Certainly don't want them to slap 10% plus charges if it gets here a few days after July 1st…

  • i have the 256gb version from jb for $99 ….they use the current gen samsung 64 layer 3d nand …so same as you’d find in an evo 850 ….

they are a very nice package if you want portability.
it came with a c-c cable and a usb c-am cable.

the amazon thing is about not dallowing people to overseas sites and the australian site is designed to collect gst from sellers who use it …..

the IT, DE, UK, US sites aren’t designed to collect gst ….won’t have the processes to collect or the processes to pay the tax office.

they will just package and ship when the time comes …..

bigger issue will be what happens if fedex, dahl or ups is used as they do have the ability to process customs and duties eg GST,
