A Strange Car Blocked My Driveway, What Should I Do?

Hi guys, I’m looking for an advice where a strange car was blocking in the middle of my driveway and the next door’s drive way. I took some photos but don't know how to attach them here. I also noted the plate number just in case it will repeat. The strange thing is there were many empty spaces that the car could use.

It happened before when my next door came and asked if the car that blocking his driveway was belong to me. But this time a strange car is blocking both of our driveway. I’m not sure if it is the same car that blocked my neighbor’s driveway.

Luckily, this morning I parked my car outside and I was rush to work, so I didn’t bother to find out who parked the car there. My question is what should I do if that car blocking my driveway again?

Thank you in advance.

      • Joke of the week right here.

  • What's strange about the car?

How does the sand let the air down? I've used small pebbles to let the air down at that spot.

    • +1

I think the mechanism is to put a grain of sand into the center of the valve stem (that when pressed allows air to flow through) and then putting the valve stem cap back on to maintain pressure on it. So the valve stem is open - but airflow is limited because the cap is on.

      • You're just everywhere lately aren't you lol

  • Passive Aggressive note. Job done, notes solve eveything.

  • I'd leave a note telling them that would be the last time they did that…for their sake. don't slash tires etc as they know where you live. if it continues, chain a bin to their bumper or something along those lines.

buy a few tyre weights from your local tyre shop and attach them to the inside of the tyre.
If you're cheap, superglue something small and heavy to the inside.

Some of you people here scare me. I thought I was relatively amoral and unethical (if I could be bothered). But some of these ideas….

I would call the local lebos and ask them to tow it 10 metres to a parking spot.

Happened to a friend of mine. Someone parked in front of his garage, and he was unable to take his car out.

He deflated all the four tyres of that car. Later on he found out that it was a car that belonged to his friend's friend, whom he shared the house with.

Was funny when it happened. Also, one option for you to consider if it ever happens again.

    • one option for you to consider

What, find a friend of a friend to do it to? :)

Valve stem remover…. Won't be able to pump tyres back up either. Winning :)

    • +1

I doubt most people have a pump in their car to pump up one flat tyre - he'd be calling roadside assistance regardless.

  • Perfect time to mow the lawn and spread fertiliser. Or you can set a sprinkler to water your lawn, pesky water spots will send a clear signal to the owner that you’re not happy.

Cling wrap it to preserve the freshness, use an entire 300m catering pack.

Get a box of matches and jamb a match into each tyre valve. They'll have four flat tyres but no actual damage. They'll have to call roadside assistance to get the tyres reinflated. I've done this three times over the years. They don't come back and park like that again

      Bikkies

    • They are busy doing Uber deliveries.

      • Perhaps the same reason the arbitrary 'bikies' comment took so long

do not damage car you will be liable for damages.

google 63A Removal of vehicles obstructing driveways

call your local police station as car is obstructing your driveway, ask for supervisor if he refuses. They should find out who is registered owner of the car is and try to contact them.

do not damage car you will be liable for damages

Only if they can provide proof you did it.

    • Is this state specific?

    • Letting the air out of all 4 tires would hardly be considered damage.

      • in reality, you only need to let down two.

      • Criminal damage includes "temporary functional derangement", I'm afraid.

i hear brake fluid poured over cars leaves a wonderful effect on the paint job

    • I hear damage to property leaves a wonderful effect on your criminal record…

  • taking a dump on offending vehicles windscreen is advised. there is no way to trace this back to you either.

  • +1

Start wildly spraying weeds out front with paint stripper. Works really well on paint, I assume it'd kill weeds too…

  • -5

Just pour superglue into the locks.

Wipe the undersides of the windscreen wipers with cooking oil.

Put glue on the inside of the door handle.

If you can get the bonnet up, replace the oil with vinegar and replace the water with coke.

Don't forget to seal up the exhaust pipe!

    • Why go to all that trouble when you can just pop the fuel cover/cap and pour in some sugar? The car will operate ok for a short while till the injectors jam up at some point, leaving no trace of where/when the damage was done.

  • Oh damn, it expired
