what do you guys think of the current computer?
i was thinking of getting it for my auntie that only really uses the computer for facebook, browse and thats it - nothing high end at all

- Model: Dell Optiplex 745 (Monitor is not included)
- CPU: Pentium D 2800 MHz
- 1GB Ram
- 80GB HDD
- DVD-RW
- Windows XP Pro installed (licensed with product key)
- Small form factor: 32 (W) cm x 34 (D) cm x 9.5 (H) cm
- Condition: Refurbished (ex-corporate)
As a throw-away it'd be fine. I have a P4 2.6 as a main machine, my kid uses a P4 2.8 as a gaming box, and they are only single-core.
Absolutely NOTHING in it could be recycled or reused in an upgrade, except perhaps the DVD-RW.
You really would want to chuck another GB of RAM in it. Since it's got 4 slots, that means only a few bucks for 2 more 512MB DDR2 sticks.
