  • do u noe how long this will be going for?

also, can these be used for AFL footy as well? like is there THAT big a diff between soccer/footy boots?

    • i've had a pair of sparks for about 2 years, and yes they can be used for AFL, jason akermanis wears them i think there are a few others too, and as far as i know AFL players wear the same boots that soccer plays wear.

  • No idea sorry mate. As for AFL, yeah i reckon you'd be fine. I guess it depends on how lush the grass/damp the grass is that you'll be playing on. From what i've seen they make a variety of boots with different cleat/stud lengths. So for AFL you might want soft ground boots cause the studs will be longer. Maybe have a look at what some of the AFL players are wearing and compare just to be sure.

I wear mine for oztag, touch and outdoor soccer and so i'm playing on a variety of different surfaces including synthetic. The thing that i love about them is they are so damn comfortable - none of this feeling the studs underneath your heel and made of kangaroo leather, not this synthetic stuff.

I've had two pairs of sparks now and they are sweet. They've got some spiel on the website about how you can control the ball better in the wet with them. I thought it was utter crap but man i was wrong. They are awesome in the wet, it's like the ball sticks to it.

  • i just bought a pair.. thanks.. perfect timing

  • awesome thx for the feedback, I'm actually gonna start playing gridiron but I'm sure the pitch is pretty much the same stuff but less kicking and … well less running as well lol but still it's more a control issue rather than kicking, ill defs have a look. how are the $70 dollar models as well? is there a significant differnce between them and the spark/glove? I'd rather pocket that extra $30 but if it's worth it ill spend it

  • Back from the dead or just selling out the scraps?
