What Is The Best Screen/Touchscreen Digitiser Adhesive?

I want to clean some dust behind a tablet digitzer plastic and switch out a digitzer plastic for my htc m9. I have seen the 3MM Double Sided 3M Tape Adhesive advertised and read some reviews that seem to be either "works great, very strong" or "very weak, don't use". So what is a decent adhesive to use? Thanks.

3M is basically the gold standard when it comes to things like adhesives. But having zero experience in this (and feeling bad for an hour old post with no answers, I'll defer to iFixit who basically created the market for DIY i-Device repairs):

Acetone works well to remove the old adhesive, then clean with IPA. As for the adhesives, the Tesa Tape sold here at iFixit is probably the strongest tape you will find but it is only sold in rolls. If you want pre-cut tape for the iPad, consider BowlerTech or TapeTemplates.

The Tesa Tape they refer to can be found here: https://australia.ifixit.com/products/tesa-61395-tap

    • ok thanks, I'll have a look.

the Tesa Tape sold here at iFixit is probably the strongest tape

    That's pretty credible advice.

  • tesa tape:

    Subtotal $13.99 AUD
    Shipping $11.90 AUD

I think that's a bit high, especially the postage.
