Fix I Found for My Painfully Slow iPad When Viewing eBay

Hi.

For years now I been putting up with an extremely slow iPad when it comes to viewing anything on eBay. I finally found a fix.

If you install an adblocker on your iPad the problem will disappear, I used Adguard, it is free and works, so far, perfectly.

Make sure you turn Adguard on within the settings
Go to settings on your iPad
Click on Safari
Click on Content Blockers
And switch Adguard on

Hope that helps someone who has been having the same annoying problem with their iPad when viewing eBay.

Revision 1
Make sure you turn off Adguard before you use a site like cash rewards ( or put them on the whitelist within adguard ), as it may not work properly if you don’t.

Believe me, you don’t know how many times I have typed in “what is better then an iPad” in to google, from frustration of using eBay

    • EBay desktop site lags on a lot of low end systems, due to the sheer number of tracking scripts (Java) that will monitor what you have been looking at, how long you spend looking at an item and what stores in particular.

Then the amount of targeted ads that they plaster slows down the site further.

There's an interesting article here that talks about GDPR and how the removal of tracking scripts on websites (that serve European users) have actually made them perform faster.
