Hey guys, just wondering the maximum discount we can get at JB Hi Fi for a TV that has been running for approx 6 months.
The TV was priced at $5998 and they were happy to sell it at $4800, does this sound right? or can I push them to reduce it? any advice?

I can remember in the past that HN had a display unit (Fridge with scuffs) was actually more expensive than another HN store same model brand new LOL
Check around the price from other outlets and compare.

I would never buy a display TV. They could have played deviant indulgences after hours. It's not worth the sanctity and salvation of my household.
If it's an OLED (which I'd hope it is given the price), be careful about possible burn in.
If the model is current and they are just out of stock, then you won’t get much more.
If the model has been on clearance and this is the last one it would be up to the individual manager.
My recommendation would be to find another store with the same TV on clearance but still in the box and go from there, paying almost $5k for a used TV is ridiculous (you might use a TV at home for 3 hours a day, so if they have theirs on for 8 hours a day that is actually well over 1 years usage already).
Well, KD75X9400E is out of stock in AU and can't buy a new TV. DJ screwed up with the order last month and there are few display units available across Vic up for sale only at JB…

It's not worth it, at 6 months, i assume its been going almost 24/7, you would need a significant discount to consider it, at least 40-45% as there have been alot of 20% off offers all year for brand new items.
100% is the max discount. but you have to run really fast.
$5000+ for a 32" tv is ridiculous.
it is 32"? or is it 42"?
kind of hard to tell what a decent discount is with out knowing what the model number is.
sort of like the length of a piece of string.
look at what the historic price is for the TV, then see what you can get it for below that.
