Foodora - invite friend and receive $10 deal actually work?

Did the Foodora friend invitation and receive $10 deal actually work for the referrer?

I referred a friend to use Foodora by sharing him a link on social account and he has used the $10 credit to make his first order.

I can see an active $10 credit in my "Earned credit list" but I cant use it on the checkout page because its not a voucher.

I contacted Foodora but their support team asked me to provide the phone number and email address that my friend used to sign up for Foodora. I mean, Really?

Even if I have no regard or concern whatsoever for my friend's privacy, how would i know that information? My friend probably doesnt even remember his Foodora account details anymore, the order was made last month.

Does anyone else get asked this question?
or have i missed a step somewhere?

There support team also asked me for screenshot, but there is nowhere to attach screenshots in their inapp chat message. They also said the referral credit is auto applied to my order at check out…but its not, only the delivery fee is $0 (which is normally $5).

  • Your cart total needs to be $25 or greater for the referral voucher to apply.

  • I have tried everything to make that referral work but have failed. I had a horrible experience with foodora over this. I had screen shots showing that I was being credited $10 and that it would be automatically applied at the final stages of checkout.. Turns out there's only one stage of checkout and it wasn't applied. Contacted customer service and the refused to honour it even though I had screen shots. I ended up cracking it at them - in which they finally gave me a $10 off a purchase over $25 voucher with a very short expiry… Which was useless to me.

I did end up using the voucher to which my order was missing an item.. And yet again I received horrible customer service that actually resulted in nothing being done about it… I hate foodora.
