Refurbished Dell Inspiron 15 (3565) 3000 Series - $379

Hi guys,

I'm after a laptop for my mother mainly for internet use and emails. I think refurbished would give me better value for money given she has a very tight budget.

Would this be a suitable option and is it a good price?

  • For basic internet and email, can't go wrong with a cheap Dell. Check the warranty/support, especially if you're not buying direct from Dell. Check even if you're buying from Dell, but that's a bit safer.

  • Seems fine to me. These Inspirons generally have pretty basic chassis and the CPU is a few generations behind (mid 2016) but good enough for the home user.

  • +1

wait ebay 25% off , get new with current spec

  • 8GB and 256GB SSD, good enough, only downside is the screen resolution, but you can add a monitor later.

  • I am not sure if many people are using chromebooks in australia, but I bought a Acer Chromebook 14 from Amazon US and I really like it for Netflix, youtube, gmail etc. It has a 1080 full hd screen, boots up fast, runs cool and is quiet. I can even ssh into ec2 if needed. Checkout chromebook suggestions here https://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos/comments/8x6yeh/weekly_buy…
