Undelivered Package from AliExpress

Has anyone dealt with issues of undelivered packages through Auspost or dealing with AliExpress?

Basically my tracking said package delivered but I know for a fact it wasn’t as I was out the front of my house the date and time tracking said delivered. I’ve told the seller on AliExpress about it and they basically just quoted the Auspost delivery time stamp to me.

After two weeks of inquiry with Auspost they ended up telling me this:

“I'm sorry to hear about the situation we have put you in. After repeated attempts to retrieve your parcel, the driver has been unsuccessful. I'd recommend requesting the sender provide you with a replacement product and they can contact us to put in a claim for compensation.”

Do I just tell the seller that Auspost has lost the package and they will deal with it on their end?

Worth a try, make sure you forward your auspost correspondence to the seller so they know you aren't trying to pull a swifty.

I had fake tracking on an item LH210449939CN never turned up (cut and paste it into auspost). lodged complaint and had money returned within a week. Seller had a lot of negs though

    • That’s dodgy.

Yeah this is an actual tracking number. Auspost have a record of delivery they just never delivered it but I can’t really proof that and they don’t really help explain what your options are after they (profanity) up. I’ve just sent off auspost’s reply to the seller and hopefully they know what to do

You need some Bikies to speak to your postie.

    • I know a vegan cyclist. Does that count as a bikie?

  • Dispute the order on Aliexpress.
This happened to me 2 weeks ago. I ordered a product, the seller provided tracking number. I waited close to two months and my product still didn't arrive, so I checked the order status on the website and it said it had been delivered. It obviously had not. I checked the tracking information again, and it had the wrong address on it. I filed a dispute, the seller was quick to be apologetic about it and within a week I received my product.

  • Auspost do some funnies with tracked parcels. Last week I had a tracked and expedited parcel from Banggood. It arrived in Australia within 2 days and then took about 6 days to get to me. Before it was delivered I had an email from Auspost saying tracked parcel would be delivered next day. Later that day I had another email saying not next day. Tracking showed no change. It was actually delivered late on the next day (the original day suggested by Auspost) with a sticker on it saying Untracked Parcel. Even now, tracking is unchanged showing as still sitting at Sunshine in Melbourne. I'm waiting for a "How did we do" email from Auspost so I can have a say but somehow I don't think it will happen.

    • Literally just got a “We'd love your feedback to Australia Post” email

  • Wow. What a great seller. Their reply was

“The goods tracking information shows that the delivery has been successful.”

  • Problem solved. Neighbour knocked on door and had another parcel of my which was delivered to his house. After asking him if he had anything else delivered he had 3 other parcels all delivered within the last month

    • And he kept them till you asked? Strange

      • I got everything so I’m happy but let’s just say there was a major size difference between the packages. The one he brought over was a massive box while the others were smaller china parcels (which were opened)

        • Your neighbour sounds so.. Trustworthy :/
