Place to Stay Perigean Springs/Beach and Brisbane

Hello,

I am travelling with my 3 children from the 17th - 31st of December. We would like to stay in the vicinity of Perigean Springs/Beach until the 23rd of December. After that we would like to spend the rest of our time in Brisbane. I'm not familiar with Brisbane but we would like to stay in an area with easy access to the beach, theme parks and other child friendly stuff to do. I have three children (14, 10 and 7). I would appreciate any advice, ideas for places to stay and things to do.

Thank you =).

Unless you travel to the islands or to sunshine/gold coast your best bet is something like Wynnum Wading Pool or streets beach

      What?

Peregian is on the Sunshine Coast.

OP: Peregian Springs is a housing estate away from the ocean, you need to stay at Peregian Beach.

  • Thank you. We haven’t been there either and need to meet friends there visiting from England. There’s not a lot of choices accommodation wise though. I don’t mind driving a short distance if you have any other suggestions.

    • I’d stay in Coolum if your friends are at Peregian, it’s a 5 min drive and a bit more lively there (bars, restaurant, better beach).

Brisbane doesn't actually have any beaches - they are Sunshine Coast, which you have covered with Peregian, and the Gold Coast. Theme parks are at the northern end of the Gold Coast.

i wouldn't chose brissy as a travel destination for a holiday, go to the gold coast for beaches.

there is an artificial beach (public toilet) swimming pool at southbank but yeah
