I suppose it's a nice full service airline that includes bags, meals and seat selection as opposed to Jetstar which you'll have to pay extra. For clarity, this is a direct flight. It doesn't go to Singapore if thats your question.

I think this comment may have to do with how the deal is displayed on the mobile site. Screenshot. The title is cut off to Melbourne to Wellington, New Zealand $283 Direct Return via Singapore Have changed via to on, however that would be a great deal going to Wellington via Singapore, 2 trips in one.
Just out of curiosity but why would you want to fly to Wellington via Singapore?!
