Zoupon.com.au is now Deals.com.au

As of today Zoupon.com.au has rebranded to Deals.com.au.

They purchased the domain (and a few others) last week. This is great not only for their SEO but also for branding. I think its a fantastic move and should help them become one of the top Group Buying sites in Australia.

    Zoupon sounds very much like a try hard attempt at coupon, groupon, etc.

    It's also not something you would type in google to look for 'Deals'.

      To have "deals.com.au" to rank with for deals, it would cost them a lot more than $100k I think. IMHO generic domain names like Deals.com.au are only good for type-in traffic, as the keyword there is just too generic (and too competitive). It is also easier for me to remember Zoupon as it's more distinctive, than Deals.com.au because, well, it's just too generic.

        also CatchOfTheDay.com.au also owns DealExtreme.com.au
        which is rather a smart tactic, also it will give mixed reactions towards the legitimacy of the website

        Shouldn't take $100k to rank that domain for Deals. it being an exact match should be the biggest leverage in Google. However, doubt it matters because search volume for 'Deals' is very low surprisingly.

      Sounds like a bit, but a great investment for their business. They also purchased deal.com.au from OMG Media/Fairfax.

      StarDeals will be launching very shortly but dont have an exact date. Should be within the next few weeks.

    @scotty - may be a bit late on this, but deals.com.au domain only took 4 months to get into top spot for both 'Deal' and 'Deals'.

      Looks like they are a client of yours who is doing SEO for them by posting links in forums such as OzBargain.
