Searching Both Stores and Tags

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if it's possible to search for a specific store and tag combination.

Like if I wanted to search for 'Google Play' - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/play.google.com

Then filter those results to just the posts tagged 'Movie Rental' - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/movie-rental

Is that possible?

     tag:movie-rental domain:play.google.com

    Result https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/tag%3Amovie-rental%…

for tags that contain a space, you must insert a dash character. so tag: Movie rental should be typed as tag:movie-rental when you search.

  • Just to expand on what scrimshaw wrote:

Search Help can be found on the help page at the footer of OzBargain.

    domain:<domain>

    • Search nodes that are linked with specific domain / store. Note that <domain> has to be a proper domain name rather than a hostname. So to search Harvey Norman uses domain:harveynorman.com.au rather than domain:www.harveynorman.com.au.

professionals domain:harveynorman.com.au type:forum searches the term professionals in forum posts that are linked to Harvey Norman.

    tag:<stub>

    • Search nodes only linked to specific tags defined by <stub>, which is the last part of URL path for tag, event, product and brand pages. Use CSV to search across multiple tags.

microwave tag:sharp, samsung searches microwave in nodes that are tagged with either Sharp and Samsung.
motorola cat:mobile tag:black-friday searches motorola in deals that are in Mobile category and tagged with “Black Friday” (which is an event tag).

Like if I wanted to search for 'Google Play'

Then filter those results to just the posts tagged 'Movie Rental'

Better off searching normally as the tag requires either the user, a power user or a moderator to correctly tag the deal with that tag. Your best bet would be

    movie rental domain:play.google.com type:deal

  • Cheers guys. Just what I was looking for. Two thumbs up!
