  • Sometimes selected florsheim imperia (their top range) are available at $150 from DJs - less with 10% off gift cards - I think that can be better value.

    • if you are spending $150, I would probably go Charles Tyrwhitt
at that price range they are most probably made in India/ China like Florsheims, but will have a Blake Stitched/ good year welted sole

      • Why Charles Tyrwhitt? Is it better quality? Florsheims has always been comfortable and good quality shoes.

        • the sole, the sole
a stitched sole/ welted sole is easier to replace when worn out when compared to a cemented sole

if you have taken care of the uppers, and have already broken into the shoe, replacing the sole (cost $100-150) gives you a good "brand new" shoe

of course it makes more sense if the shoe originally cost $300 or more

  • Nothing too impressive in the sale.
Miss the days where they had 50% off, including off the nice shoes.

Daniel, Carl, Simon Now $99. Free shipping over $100.

Hate when the companies do it. I guess they can take their shoes and put them in where the sun don't shine.

lol, like I said, a tin of shoe polish costs $9.95 here (don't shoot the messenger)

  • I refuse to buy from sites who do crap like '$99 sales and free shipping at $100'

  • a shoe polishing cloth is $6.95, stupid price but still cheaper than shipping.

    • eh how did I miss that
although you could use an old cotton t shirt as a shoe polishing cloth
the shoe cream perhaps offers better bang for your buck?

For mens personally i'd only look at Collins or Carl, but i'm picky.
