Why cant we order just Chicken? or just porterhouse or eye fillet?

    • By simplifying in a subscription box format that helps to pass on the savings / offer better quality to the customer.

its only better offer if you want all those in there.

No detail on what you actually get :(.

Here's a link directly to the types of meat you get and their quantity:

    https://www.meatmondays.com.au/meat

A lot of variety in the meat pack, but unfortunately too much variety for me and a lot of wasted meat :(.

It should also be noted that the $130 charge is monthly and autorenewing. Not a great option to be honest as most people just buy meat when they need to, and not by the calendar every month.

    • Hello,

You can subscribe, and when it comes to renewal for the month you can opt out ( skip a delivery ).

What type of meat would you subscribe to?

      • Thanks for the reply.

I reckon simplify the packs and allow people to buy more of the same cuts. So if you never/rarely eat Chicken Maryland or Pork Belly, but go through a lot of sausages, steaks, chicken breasts and thighs etc. the current packs are less attractive due to the wastage.

I use the bbq 2-3 times per week, but its quantity not variety I'm looking for. The monthly subscription is less of a concern if I know I'll go through all the meat purchased.

It's probably a mute point because I'm not in Victoria anyway, but just a bit of feedback from a likely customer viewpoint.

  • The larger cuts seem a bit small. 1 kg pork belly and 1.1 kg lamb leg are half the size of those I'd normally buy. Plus I'd need to freeze most of it to make it last a month, not something I like doing with meat as it ruptures the water cells and the meat turns out drier.

Is the meat organic? Your website header says (sic) "Organic Meat source ethically".

It would pay to put this in the description as people pay more for organic.

  • The $240 Mixed pack contains 44 or 48 meals…not quite sure how that's worked out. But with 7 in the household, this won't last. The pack is aimed at the 2+2 household and won't last for a 7+0 household of T-rexs.

For a BBQ, I use 3 rotating skewers about 1m long…and similar to Tony76, the size of lamb legs used are 1/4 of the size needed to fill this up (usually about 4kg)..and fresh so that its not frozen.

Appreciate that it looks to be be cleansed of fat, etc, but a few mins of my time isn't worth the cost spike here. Not a fan of most the cuts here - but not all. This may work for someone who wants the top quality being offered/marketed, that is being delivered.

Lastly, delivery is between midnight and 7am, or across business hours (8am - 6pm), hopefully in a refrigerated van (does not mention what happens here). Presumably someone would need to be home to accept it as I wouldn't be leaving this as the post office or on the front porch.

    • Hello, I appreciate that you have a big family to feed and our boxes may not suit your needs, we think if your for filling some of your meat needs with better meat then the supermarket then that's still a bonus.

If you subscribe, we ask you if you would like to receive a delivery during the day/night. All our meat is chilled to the front door and then the meat is packed with chiller packs inside to keep the product at the optimum temp until you retrieve the package. The good thing about receiving your meat at night means that its generally colder and your product is ready for you in the morning, not interrupting your day.

      thanks for the feedback.
