Haven't been able to locate any on Gearbest or Banggood websites. Ones on eBay go for ~40$ which I'm fine with but also include a additional $50 of 'fees'. Latest bargains for these torches posted here are for 30$ back in 2014.
I was searching for the 6D version but would also settle for a 4D or 5D.
You probably want to look at brands such as nitecore, etc. torches that require 18650 batteries or similar. Maglite would only be useful if you need a baton that has a torch function.

I was about to write what you wrote, but from what he's written, it does sound like he is after a "multi purpose" tool.
Don't think the police will be happy for me to carry that around. I've looked at convoy L2 and L6. But think a Maglite would be more for me
you don't need a big torch with some of the led torches these days.
A bigger torch has certain qualities that appeal to me though, it's why I would prefer the large maglite
