Introductory Offer - only while stocks last. First In First Served.

ABOUT KA-BAR
First brought into service in WWII the Ka-Bar fighting knife has stood the test of time.

These knives were depended upon to perform daily tasks such as pounding tent stakes, driving nails, opening ration cans and digging foxholes, not to mention defending lives.

Today, the original USMC Fighting / Utility Knife remains the first choice for many Marines who choose to carry it as their personal option knife during service. It is also a favorite of adventurers, survivalists, outdoor sportsmen and, of course, knife collectors who know that this knife – this “American Legend” – deserves a place in their collection.

  • "the first choice for many Marines who choose to carry it as their personal option knife during service"

wonder how many of these we have on the forum

Also i am quite happy with my dolphin knife, nothing is going to supercede that baby anytime soon

  • So if I get mugged by someone carrying this knife, do I ask him if hes on ozb? Maybe connect on FB?

    • You're far more likely to get mugged by a junkie with a syringe or sharpened up butter knife; or perhaps a gang of young scumbags who won't need a knife, they'll have numbers on you! :p

Good price for a great knife! Little of that description is hyperbole IMHO, you could trust your life to these suckers!!! They really are a part of history.

$80 is a good price for a knife like that.
The problem is, i really DO NOT NEED IT!!

      • Same, I actually have an original!!! :D

  • My shipping is $15?? and standard is their a coupon code??

  • Are these things legal??

Trusting life to one of these?? Using a knife to defend yourself is not a reasonable excuse under NSW laws - not sure about other states.

    A little enlightenment please

    • You were sharpening some sticks to light a BBQ when your intoxicated assailant ran into your knife

    • Hi OZPete - Yes these knives are legal to own.

In NSW you can't carry any knife (or any other dangerous implement) in public without lawful excuse (ie sport, hunting etc).

You may need a permit in Vic…

and be over 16 in all jurisdictions.

      • Thanks. However you do promote on your site that these can be used for defending lives, so it it necessary to state that? Might be a little more responsible to delete that comment.

        • Sorry - the material posted was historical fact. I'm sure there are a heap of USMC ex-servicemen that used the blades for that purpose but that's not promoting such uses today in suburbia.

    • I'm guessing its legal in your house but take it on the street and you'll get fined.

      • Even in your own home you wouldn't be allowed to defend lives with this or with your bare hands. Crims have rights too, according to civil libertarians.

        • I should have been clarified. What I meant to say was, "legal to posses in your home".

    • Why is it that I always seem to see a rather myopic POV from you Pete?

Let me spell this out for those who know nothing about bushmanship, bivouacking & camping in general…not every situation where one's personal safety depends on the quality of one's kit involves a combat/self-defence situation!!!

If you want a little enlightenment mate, start with a little lateral thinking! ;)

Probably not the best promoting knives, when the police are trying to get them off the streets!

Not everyone who buys a knife are druggies looking to kill people. Collectors, campers, outdoor sportsman all have a legitimate excuse to use one. Just because you might not have a legitimate excuse to own one does not mean everyone does.

    • didnt say there where not legitimate uses for them… just highlighting the legal aspect of them…it was originally in regards to the legality of selling them but someone beat me to the punch

  • the heavy bowie looks nice.
If only i had people to "defend" myself from

  • I don't see it. Is it sold out?

    • +1

Sorry team - SOLD OUT. Didn't expect such a huge response. We'll restock shortly.

      Apologies.

  • damn - missed out
