Purchased a Tronsmart TS-CC4P 4 port USB car charger a couple of years ago. The charger works great no problems. Just that my parents upgraded there car to a BMW X1. Since then i've tested the charger and found it does not work in the mew car. Charger still works fine in my car.
Is there a good quality after market multi port USB caharger to get that is compatible with there new car or would I need to get the Official BMW one?

Have you tested the 12v socket to make sure it works?
Its a used model. I tested it with all three sockets. Front, centre and rear. None work with this charger.
Do the sockets even work?

It is just 12v electricity, there is no "compatability"

Just read about that. Seems to be a common problem. I'll check the fuse tomorrow and see if it has blown.
Probably something to do with the socket configuration (similar to the Roidmi - https://www.gearbest.com/blog/how-to/xiaomi-roidmi-bluetooth… ) - what does the inside of the X1's sockets look like?
(I'd buy a X1 to check but the BMW dealer is closed now :D)

The E84 came out in 2009. Carsales have listings of 2010 models. Some people may consider that old.
Didn't want to start a new thread but what charger should I get for my Rolls Royce? Surely it couldn't be too different to the one suitable for a low rent, bottom of the range BMW.
