Scoopon Problems - Getting Refund for Non-Redeemable Coupons?

has anyone else had any dramas getting a refund for a non redeemable scoopon? im not at all impressed with the support. any ideas on how to go about a refund.

  • in March 2012 I purchased a scoopon for a make up lesson,

    I did the right thing & made a booking well in advance for 18 August 2012.

    On 16 August 2012 I recived an email from the provider advising that my appointment was cancelled & would need to be rebooked. as the vocuher expires in Sept they had only 2 appointments left before the voucher expired - I cannot attend either of those due to work & uni comitments.

    scoopon basically said that I had to go on the 2 available dates/times or forfeit the voucher as they would not give me a refund - I am not going to skip work/uni

    i tried lodging a paypal dispute but as I bought the vouchers more than 45 days ago, paypal will not help.

    i do nto know what to do?

      Was the PayPal payment made via/through your credit card? If so, request that the Credit Card Company reverse the payment as the service was not provided.

  • I too have been scammed by scoopon and after emailing a team scoopon member i was given the same generic response as if they werent listening.

    Lets all organise something accordingly to states and bring it to the press and consumer affair organisations; i will personally, regardless of this thread contact the Department of commerce for my individual complaint. cut and paste the below text followed by ;

    1)company you had problems with.
    2)username.
    3)amount.
    4)Postcode.
    5)problem ; less than 10 words.
    6)ticket complaint number so scoopon know who you are.

    i wonder if there will be any reaccurances with companies listed?

      I have a case opened with Scoopon Customer team with regards to my experience with a deal, the response was that I would not be entitled to a refund even though the deal was undervalued and I couldn't book a date/time to use the deal. Can you please look into this and help me get a refund.

    Bought a mixer from them and contacted them at first week of July 2013, about warranty and fixing it, customer service rep .reply they can only send refund and advice to return the item back. Once return they will send the refund. July 17 2013, Clare reply that item was received and refund is ready to my paypal account. I told her that my paypal is not active and if she can just send my refund to my bank account or any other option. She replied that scoopon not able to refund back to any account other than that used to make the original purchase, or use a different method of transferring the funds. Ok so I waited for paypal to contact me about the refund, after 5 days of waiting I decided to contact paypal, and they said I cannot collect the refund since my account is not active. So sent email again, and wow another Rep replied that she took closer look into this issue and have now found that my refund to the Paypal account linked to the email address: was rejected and are advised that we 'cannot refund this payment because the recipient is currently unable to receive money then ask for my bank details. Ok replied July 23,2013 about my bank details, then after 8 days of no response from Scoopon again, I ask for update, August 1, someone replied that my refund will be ready in 3 business days. August 7, I ask for recit that refund was successful to my bank account none replied. Made new ticket and on August 13 someone replied then asking for my bank details again? More than a month chasing for a refund. They arent in a hurry to give my refund back.

      Thanks for your post.

      Your refund has now been processed by our Customer Service team using the bank account details you provided.

      Please note that your Paypal refund was processed prior to us being informed that your account was no longer active. Multiple help request submissions have also, unfortunately, delayed the processing of your refund as multiple agents were assigned to your various requests. This is why you were asked for your bank details by 2 different agents - as each agent was replying to a separate request.

      For future reference, please also note that if you update your help request before receiving a response, your request will automatically be re-queued as a new request.

      Apologies for the inconvenience and confusion caused in regard to this matter.
