I'm not one to come across Aliexpress deals but thought this wasn't too bad for an entry level Dash Cam. RRP is apparently $79.99USD. Had a look around at the usual suspects for price comparison and all seem to be far more expensive than Aliexpress, i.e. Geekbuying and Amazon. Currently 20 in stock at the time of posting and free shipping via standard shipping (20-41 days) or $12usd (approx $16aud) for DHL express (7days approx).

Reviews look positive with a general 4.5/5 stars across multiple sights. I personally don't have one but could be tempted to buy at this price and due to the amount of crazy ppl out on the road now.

  I think these dashcams get baked in the Australian sun and are a durability nightmare, an old model which I bought for about $100 a few years ago is being used as a paper weight.

    That's a shame. Not sure of the build quality so I can't really comment on that. It is priced really cheap for a dash camera so it wouldn't be the best that's for sure.

    Those that use a Capacitor to store a charge instead of a battery are much more durable under our hot Sun.

      What would you recommend?

      And are they self install? The thought of mucking around with the trim to feed a wire up to the top of the windscreen isn't pleasing.
