Increase in Strange eBay Usernames (New Users)

I am curious if someone knows something that I do not, I sell regularly on eBay and recently have seen a large influx in users with usernames like "kylor.ca.snrz5ltt…" that seem to be almost encrypted or generated by a third party.

All their info checks out, but I am curious if the username process has developed into borderline encryption over the years or there is a 3rd party making suggestions for these usernames…

This is not the first time, we receive about one a week now with dots, and letter number sequences that do don't make a lot of sense

      Brilliant. Makes sense, thanks

  • Wow that's news to me, how does that work if a guest wants to open a case or leave feedback? They don't…?

    • I understand that guests cannot leave feedback, they can however open cases etc on the purchase.
