DiDi’s fake advertisement and unethical practices

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone else has been a victim of DiDi charging a different fee than the one offered by their promotions?

In the last weeks DiDi has become quite popular as they offer half price in all they rides. However I was surprised to hear recently from a friend that they did did not honor the 50% off for their ride. They didn’t reply to any of his emails asking for an explanation.

Today it happened to me the exact same scenario. I was lucky enough to block the transaction through the bank. But when I tried to contact them, I realised there are no phone numbers and Only emails.

I am concerned they might think they can do as they pleased here in Australia.

Who’s DiDi? Does she work the streets at night?

    • never heard of them either.

google says - "DiDi, formerly Didi Kuaidi, is a major Chinese ride-sharing, AI and autonomous technology conglomerate founded by Cheng Wei, providing transportation services for more than 450 million users across over 400 cities in China. "

sounds like every other ride share app.

    • Username checks out..

  • Just like oBike they come in and think they can do whatever they want and without any consequences.

Just like oBike they have no staff here, it's all run out of mainland China. Thus no phone number as you'll never be able to understand their English.

  • They charged me despite having that $50 coupon applied. I emailed them about it on the 29th of last month and they only just responded to me last Tuesday. I'm not thrilled with them either

  • The same thing happened to me last evening! They did not apply the 50% off final fare. Sent them an email. Hoping they reply soon.

    • Hi DrPotato!

Keep us updated! They never replied in my case

  • Didi rides are 20% off during peak times (7-10 am and 5pm - Midnight)

It's the Off Peak times only that are 50% off up to $10 per trip.

    • I was about to say this. Always mind the small font.

"I am concerned they might think they can do as they pleased [sic] here in Australia."

Unlike all the other ride share operators eh?
