I have been using Surfeasy (paid) for a while but it constantly having problems saying it is connected to one location, say the U.S. but actually being connected somewhere else (the Czech republic for instance). Getting a bit sick of it TBH and was wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable but not too expensive option? Say around $5 a month-ish? Would be nice if it can do multiple devices too. Surfeasy lets me connect 5 devices.

Think they encourage you to use a provided SOCKS proxy for file sharing rather than VPN (effectively the same outcome for the user).

(Just noticed NORD is doing a $2.75 per month deal, anyone used them? I just want to get around some geoblocks so logging isn't a huge concern for me.)

I'm about to purchase Nord, its currently being touted (by enthusiast users) as the best available in 2018.
Nord is significantly slower than PIA IME.
A lot of users are saying the exact opposite. PIA is now labelled a Piece of Sh.
VPN's are so difficult because its such a complex topic and things are changing every month.
Just found this amateur researcher (Sven Taylor), he seems to be on the ball.
You can email/comment with any questions and he will reply back. And if you have new information, he will take a look at it. You also know he has integrity because he has corrected himself several times after re-testing claims and VPNs, and is not paid by any provider. He's recommending ExpressVPN now, though it is somewhat pricey. And I'm not sure if his recommendations for USA citizens apply representatively to OZ citizens. Although NordVPN does seem to be quite good, and its the cheapest of the lot.
