Refurbished TV Suggestions

Has anyone ever tried buying refurbished TVs from Bestbuy Electrical in Vic?
http://www.bestbuyelectrical.com.au/product/?subcat=SIZE40&l…

Looking to get 40" Full HD under $350. Trying to stay away from Soniq, inclined towards TCL or Hisense.

Is it safe to buy from these vendors?

We bought a little TCL one from the Clayton store. I reckon it's best if you go in and see what the condition of the TVs is like. Some of the stuff they have there is in average condition, ripped boxes and dented/scratched condition. Otherwise, easy enough to go there and get a deal.

I've bought three TV's from them ranging from 24" to 55" and two are still going strong and the third was a dud which they quickly replaced. As mentioned by the previous poster instead of buying online just go there(preferably Clayton/Bayswater) and negotiate a deal which will definitely end up being cheaper than the advertised price. You can always choose a good one from the lot and get them to turn it on and check before parting with your cash. I'd go Hisense over TCL but that is based on my personnel experience btw.

And they advertise quite a lot on Gumtree.

    • Come to think of it, mine was a Hisense also.

  • I don't understand what they mean by "manufacturer refurbished".
Is there a way to figure out what component was replaced etc?
Or are they just damaged boxes etc?

  • Cheers thanks guy, will make a trip there on the weekend and check a few models out
