Any Good Free Gym Workout Apps??

Hi all,

I've come back from holidaying in Europe and it is time to get back into fitness

I'm looking to starting to use my smartphone to keep my motivated and record my program maybe even have a few basic programs i could start off with…

A lot of the apps say they are free but when you go to use them they charge a subscription (which is absolute BS if you ask me)

Ideally if anyone knows any decent free apps or even a pay once off a couple $ app that is worth using as a record for both Cardio and Strength Training it would be ideal.

Thanks in advance

I'm a big fan of the legs/arms application. Basically I turn my phone off, put it in the drawer, then go outside and exercise.

  • http://www.c25k.com/ not an app but there should be plenty similar to website

Also before there were smart phones there was the good old pen and paper for keeping track of your lifts

  • if it's to build strength, StrongLifts 5x5 is an easy to use app I used when training.. quick and efficient with just 3 exercises which you can usually get done within 30 - 45 mins

I use FitNotes to log my workouts.

  • It depends what your fitness goals are. If you're after strength gains you can get free programs online such as:
    Candito Training HQ
