Thinking of Buying the Xiaomi AMAZFIT Bip

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking of buying the Xiaomi AMAZFIT Bip as it seems pretty good for the money. But I just wanted to check if there was anything else which might be better for around the same price mark. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know the Mi Band 3 is available now but I like that the Bip has GPS.

Thanks everyone.

The AMAZFIT Bip is simply brilliant! Everytime I wish to exercise I simply take my AMAZFIT Bip, lock it in the drawer, and go outdoors and exercise! I used to be 200 KG now i only weigh 5KG!

    • Cool. that's my goal weight so it should suit me fine.

  • I got for the kids and it is pretty good. If you like the big apple watch styling. They seem happy and are able to configure amd operate it.

Got them from Kogan but was mislead that it was 2 day postage from somewhere in AU. It came from HK in a couple weeks.

    • Damn, I would rather buy it from an Australian seller but if it's more expensive and still coming from HK then I wont bother.

Do you think it's overly big? From what I have seen in videos it doesn't look that bad.

if there was anything else which might be better for around the same price mark.

Not many. There are quite a few fitness watches with GPS under USD $50 on those Chinese deal sites. However Amazfit Bip is well made, well supported, has a sizeable community, has great battery life, etc. I just wish Mi Fit has better data export support (sync with Strava for example).

    • I was looking at some other Chinese branded ones but the apps for those seem pretty terrible. Think I'll go with the Bip. Thanks for your opinion.

    • It syncs with Google Fit and apparently Strava now.

  • Used Xiaomi AMAZFIT Bip for 3 months, no complaint, only one issue for far is it stopped counting steps once and need restarting the watch.

the watch face can be customised is a plus

  • I have one, for what I wanted it is great. Battery life was my main driver for getting it. Built in GPS and still good battery life seems fairly unique fit this price.

  • Thanks for your help, guys.

  • Reviving an old thread, can anyone help out with a good price for this? I have checked the usual suspects, amazon is the best price with fast shipping with prime that i have found.

    • Same, I'm also looking for a BIP, but the cheapest I've seen is $95. At that price I'm reluctant to bite as past deals posted here have seen it as low as $70. So any help will be appreciated as well.

I do love the Bip. However, word of warning… I was a very early adopter and liked it so much that I purchased 4 (one for each family member). One has just died after 8 months and GearBest are no use whatsoever in terms of adequate warranty support. Disappointed, as I have quite a few Mi products and I am now a little concerned about the longevity of the devices.

    • Dont they carry 1 year warranty?

  • Have had one for 6 months. Best part is.. I have only charged it 4 times. It's a camel.

    • My one only last 2~3 wèek per charge, do you use push notifications at all? Or alarm?

  • How is the connectivity?
    - Range, data transfer, notification speed
    How is the application?
    - Is it well designed and functional?

    Are there other alternatives?
    - Even more expensive one?

  • Hey Guys, I see the price of this watch much lower (~27.5 AUD) than other sellers (~99 AUD). Is it genuine seller and safe to buy with ebay money back guarantee?
