Blitzwolf Chargers Certified for use in Australia?

Sorry if this has been asked before…But I've just noticed Blitzwolf chargers selling on Amazon https://www.amazon.com.au/BlitzWolf-BW-S10-Type-C-Charger-Ad…

Are they considered RCM certified to be sold in Australia? I see it argued on Ozbargain but never can get a clear answer.

  • What is RCM certified? Ie some examples. I've not heard of that before and had to google it.

  • I'm no electrician but isn't it the Australian certified standard? Nearly all appliances I check have the symbol the triangle with the circle tick.

    • Well you learn something new every day. I have a 4 port one at work and can check tomorrow if no one else replies beforehand…

      Apparently there was three

    • Generally it's illegal for a business to distribute electicial related item without that mark. Large retailer usually aware of this thus most if not all of their items on sale has the mark. Overseas or small retailer may be not aware of such thing exist and thought the existing international safety mark is enough.

      • Strange that so many retailers get away with it tho?

        • That retailer in the link you provided wasn't Catch itself. The use of AU certified power cable replacing the original non certified cable is somewhat allowed. Similar if the sale of sealed overseas mobile phone for example, with overseas power adapter in it, as long as it comes with AU certified power adapter.

        • So a chinese applince with an AU approved power adapter is fine?

  • My 5 port does not have the RCM symbol.

Only CE, FCC, and ROHS symbols.

  • Haya, mine says 24w Dual port USB charger BW-s2

Under it says CE, VI (with a circle around it), a picture of a house, 1 box inside the other, a no bin sign.

  • +1

    Short answer: No.
    Long answer: No.

The one you've linked isn't even AU stock.

Most Chinese products are not RCM certified with only a select few from some big brands are. Anker for example have a couple of products that are certified for use in Australia.
