We don't actually get the Founders Pack do we? The founders pack gave you free character and skins unlocks afaik. We get the F2P grind, not complaining but pointing out. I'll be giving it a try now for sure.
Also the Founders Pack costs $45, I think you've found the US pricing there.

Yes, finally get to give this game a go.

Also, it's the 100th* thing installed on my Switch, been on 99 for a while now.

*including 9 F2P games and a demo, but still.

    • What're the 9 F2P games?

      • Off the top of my head

Fortnite, Paladins, Kitten Squad, Pinball Arcade, Zaccaria Pinball, Stern Pinball, Pinball FX 3, and a couple others I'm forgetting.

Don't bother with Zaccaria Pinball, decent pinny game, but there's no music in the thing and trust me, you don't know how (profanity) bothersome it is to play pinball without any music until you do. It's just not right.

Edit: Just went to go tell my thing to download Paladins, here's the other 2, Galak-Z (used to cost like 10 bucks elsewhere, brought it over to Switch for free, haven't touched yet so can't comment), the other is Fallout Shelter (again, haven't touched, not really a Fallout guy tbh)

        • From my understanding, Galak-Z is a cut down version of the game, that is different from other platforms (hence the "Variant S" tagged onto the name).

        • @caprimulgus: I don't know, I don't care, I got it on Vita through Plus forever ago and it didn't grab me, still doesn't grab me. But it's free, and I have memory card space, so it's there for a rainy day. Though I won't be surprised if it turns out to just be a big demo, as a lot of "free" games are.

Also Pokemon Quest and something new called Dawn of the Breakers are freebies, bringing the list up to 11.

Awesome news! Just got my Switch 2 weeks ago and I've been needing something like this to cure my Overwatch needs. :')

This is not the founders pack, this is the free content

The Founder edition was changed from $45 to $0 and the content removed and possibly made available via ingame purchase.

Because of this nintypricer.com reports it as the founder edition now listed as free.

  • Thank you very much for posting this!
I've been waiting for the "free offering later this year" to appear and probably would have missed it for a bit if it wasn't for you.

Finally. Haven't played Paladins in forever.. Although I ended up getting Fortnite to play in the meantime which is pretty addictive now…

But hey, I'll still install this and give it a look. Thanks for the heads up.

    • Damn. It doesn't let you login, just creates an account for you.

Dumb. Wanted to use all the stuff I've unlocked in various manners. For me this is now a useless download. Hopefully they patch in actual account management in the future…

Back to Fortnite, which actually launched in a working condition and free to begin with.

  • IAP necessary?
Too grindy for the time poor?

  • Yo, this game is pretty fun. I just played a few games, never touched it before hitting Switch and it's pretty chill. Am I particularly good or are the average players shit? We won the last match right, 40 kills, I had 28 of them in a team of 5, similar results in my other two matches as well. Either I'm a God or I've been paired with shitcunts a few times, probs the latter.

Anyway, I'm glad it's free now on Switch, I'll definitely give it a good go when I get the time, never played Overwatch either so can't comment on the similarities.

    • The first five levels of Paladins you're pitted up against bots so you're gonna feel like a God. The real game begins when you're up against people and you're trying to aim that tiny stick up someone's a**.

But glad you're enjoying the game!

      • Ah, that explains a lot tbh.

Thank (profanity) I didn't come in and 100% here brag about how good I did, would look like a proper (profanity).

Wonder how I'll fare against real people tomorrow.
