Good Cooking Pan Sets for a new home

Is anyone aware of any decent cooking pan sets, i don't mind spending around $200 for some which will be enough for a new small house.
If not i might go to Kmart buy a cheap set and get a good frying pan only. I'm wanting these to last a while so i'd rather not buy cheap crap.

Any Recommendations any good brands OR brands to avoid?

  • If you want heirloom-quality cookware and don't mind spending, go check out LeCreuset. French, but more importantly their (good) pans come all enameled which is amazing. Can't say I have them myself, but I've used them at a friend's place and… yeah. If you cook a lot, they're worth it. And they last - apparently my friends have had them for literal decades.

What more could you need. Maybe get a decent Non stick from Fissler later on.

These also work on induction cooktops too so future proofed if you update the stove or something.

  • I'm using Fissler. I'm a sucker German manufacturing. Going strong at 4 years.

  • you pay for what you get… if you're not cooking a lot and don't really care… doesn't matter too much
but once you start, you'll notice the difference so easily that you don't want to touch the other stuff… scanpan is cheap enough to start off with, and then move to the high end

    • I would be cooking every day or at least every second day, nothing too fancy though.

  • Anolon Tri-Ply Onyx 8.5/10.25 Inch Skillet Twin Pack $79.90

They're 3-ply stainless steel pans with efficient heat distribution.

  • We got sick of getting cheapish pans and replacing them every year. We ended up getting a 26cm Wol which has been great. It's about 2 years old or so and gets used most nights. Oven proof, meant to have a pretty good warranty on them, but pricey.
Can only recommend so far though. It's really all we use

    • +1

myer ebay used to list woll .. but no more

i got their wok 2 years ago at 50% off + ebay 20% off …

      can't get them now :(

  • My scanpan stuff didn’t last that long - only 4-5 years before looking worse for wear - non stick coating peeled, oxidisation when dry. . Replaced with Anolon much better quality built to last

    • your anolon over 5 years yet ?
