Learner's driving instructor [Melb]

Hey can anyone recommend a good driving instructor in Melbourne? I don't necessarily want the cheapest one available, but an affordable one who can easily communicate with a first time driver, is punctual etc - i.e comes on time and doesn't leave early. So far I've seen the ad for https://www.keys2drive.com.au/lesson/about_keys2drive/about_… which I plan to book when I get my L's later in the month (very late starter haha).

P.S. I live in 3165 so one close by would be great.

I tried quite a few (I was a bratty 16 year old :P) and would have to say that RACV are by far the best. Not sure on price, so don't know if they're the cheapest, but the instructors I dealt with were really friendly, and great at communicating with someone who's never driven before. I know they have some decent deals if you buy a few lessons at once.

    EDIT: 5 lessons for $207. So that's $41.40 a lesson.

oh, and take advantage of all of the "first lesson free" with no obligations for further lessons deals. :) I think I got 6 lessons from all different instructors for free LOL

      • Could you fill me in with some of these places if you still remember?

I'll have the list on my desktop, I'll check for you when I get home from work in the morning. Adittedly it was 6 years ago but hopefully some will still have the same deal!

        • Awesome, thanks! :)

        • did you find it? :P

        • D'oh, forgot to reply. :( and I'm sorry, I didn't!! Appears I had it on my old desktop, when I upgraded I just threw out the HDD (… who needs a 40gb IDE, right?)

I second that. The RACV instructor I used was friendly and calm, even when I swerved to avoid a dog that was still on the footpath.
