Free - Cashback Aggregation Tool "Savable" for Safari

Moved to Forum: Original Link

When I released the cashback tool for Chrome a few weeks ago, I got quite a few requests to have a Safari version.

I implemented it and waited more than a month for Apple to review, and finally got it approved. Here is the link to install it on Safari There is no way for me to charge or provide free trial, thus I made it is completely free. Although I have to pay Apple $150 a year in order to keep it on their website, which is ridiculous to me.

Also unfortunately, like Chrome, Safari on mobile doesn't support plugin, so there is no way to support it on Mobile. Personally, I am using Firefox on mobile with Savable on Firefox whenever I do online shopping on my phone.

—Disclaimer—
Technically I can see what people are browsing after they install the plugin - as most of the browser plugin does, but I don't record them. I only check if there is cashback for the site users are browsing, if there is, then shows the deals.

Got a small piece of feedback for this wonderful addon. Is it possible to change it so the pig doesn't get included when your printing out the web page?

    • I'll try to implement a blacklist feature so that you can disable the plugin for certain sites

I’ll have to try the Firefox on my mobile I’m yet to actually use in any form, but remember your original post. love the idea and hard work and all just because $150 😱 I’m sure as a community we can look at avenues for funding ? Anyone … I’ll take a look around, I’m sure there’s something out there ! If the demand is there I’m sure people out of the kindness of their heart will donate 50c -$1 . Hope to get back with good news soon

I wouldn't be too upset about the $150… I noticed the links for signup include your unique link for referrer bonus.

Not saying this is a bad thing, its genius, but its not like you are getting nothing in return.

What I am complaining about is the way Apple treats developers. The dev tool to implement an extension is terrible, the review process is long and kind of stupid, and you don't get any statistics after it is released. Compare to Google, this is sh*t, and it cost you $150 a year.

  • Just got the Chrome extension, never knew it existed.

  • Woah… great plugin….
