School Shoes

Trying to buy good quality school shoes without paying a fortune.
Wasted money buying the $8 K-Mart ones, they are utter cr..!.
Don't want to spend more than I have to but at the same time would like the shoes to be of good quality.

    Big W, i have Grosby ones that i bought last year for under $10, they still do me fine

    Rivers currently have some school shoes on special for $6.45

    But I'd take a stab that these would probably not be a whole lot better than your kmarts

    go to rivers and buy 2-3 pairs. they last quite a while.

    You could also spend about $90 and get Hush Puppies from myer/dj if you want to. They are not 'school shoes' perse as they are a little more formal looking but they will last alot longer. I wore them for school.

      In what universe would I spend $270 on hush puppies for my 3 kids for school….

        well I would if my kids feet had stopped growing. But that is a good point that Ashlea made and im sure your kids would still be growing, so better off getting a few pairs from Rivers for cheap..

        I wore blue hush puppies when I was a teenager … I was "slightly" behind the times, must have been thinking of 'blue suede shoes' … probably cost my mum a weeks wages … and looked 'naff' no doubt.

        I'd buy Rivers but they are out of my sons size … and I guess the special has ended.

      Sure, they'll last longer, but unless your kid is in the higher end of high school and finished growing, they could outgrow them in a matter of weeks.

        6, 8 & 10 years old.
        So yes tey will otgrow them 2-3 times per year…

      One nice thing about Rivers is they keep their styles around for some time so after you wear out your shoes you can go back there and get the same ones that you like. ^_^
