4GB/64GB Mobile Phone with NFC < $250?

Hi Guys,

In market for 4GB/64 GB mobile phone with NFC considering the reliance on NFC is increasing day by day. Is there something available under <$250 or am I just dreaming? I have eyes on Sharp Aquos S2 for a week but there seems to be no stock on Joybuy anymore.

Thanks, but GSM Arena prices are not generally updated with market so might not give me accurate list of phones. E.g. Sharp Aquos S2 is still around 450 EUR.

I was just wondering if someone who has similar phone could recommend one.

  • Ulefone X. Although I can’t find if it has NFC or not…
Ulefone power 3S. Again, no NFC info.
Xiaomi Redmi S2. Same with NFC. Can’t find clear answer.
Doogee Mix. Again with the NFC. No info to say yes or no.
Bluboo S3. This one does have NFC it appears.

This is just a short list I found in about 30 seconds of searching. There are literally hundreds out there that I could go on mentioning. All of the ones I mentioned above are between $200 and $250 delivered.

Try sites like gearbest and Banggood if you want to find a cheap phone with those specs.

    • Thank, as NFC mentioned below, I am comparing phones on Kimovil

I personally use Kimovil to compare and find deals on phones. The link I have included shows phones with NFC under $270 AUD. However, there are not many great options in this price range and not all stores can be found listed on this site. If your main priorities are low cost and NFC then I would recommend purchasing the Sharp Aquos s2 as it has become a popular smartphone due to the great specifications and the community support/following which seems to be growing.

Note: Prices for Aquos s2 on kimovil are not great, so further searching should be done to obtain the best deal

    Other phones:
    - nubia Z17 Lite
    - Nokia X6
    - Meizu Pro 6 Plus (great phone but stuck on 6.0)

    • Thanks Kimovil appears to be great website for phone as well as price comparision! Thanks for sharing.

    • I have the Meizu Pro 6 Plus. The global operating system is stuck on android 6.0 because the devs in charge of global are lazy.

I use the Chinese Flyme OS 7 Beta which is based on android N or android O. It is a night a day difference compared to Global.

It gets regular updates frequently, the latest is Flyme OS 7.8.7.24 (I use google translate camera to read the update notes as I can't read Chinese).

The stable Chinese Flyme OS 7 will be releasing by the end of the month.

Bad things about the phone is it doesn't have Band 28. It has no external micro sd storage, I get over this by buying a $2 USB C to micro sd OTG adapter. Same way like some phones have no audio jack and you need to buy a audio adapter, but Meizu has a audio jack and has ES9018K2M Sabre Reference audio DAC.

Updating it to Chinese Flyme OS also adds NFC and face recognition unlock. Also I love the Meizu's Samsung 2K resolution OLED display. It also fast charges really quick. It feels a lot more premium than my old Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. But it has the same iPhone 6/7/8 curved edged screen so all screen protectors won't fit right.

        • Thanks for your input. Meizu Pro 6 Plus is definitely a great fighter and specs also look great on paper. The main advantages over Z17 lite would be audio jack and much better screen, however, lack of 'stable' software updates is kind of pulling me back. Even if it gets Flyme OS 7 soon, given the current pace of software development, we're not sure whether or not it will get next. Thanks again for your detailed input.

I second the Nubia Z17 Lite…$216 AUD from geekbuying

  • Thanks guys, much appreciated! I quite liked the Nubia X17 lite too..for that price, I think it's a great deal! The only thing that worries me is if I need to replace its screen, replacement doesn't seem to be cheap. Would you know some sort of insurance that would cover the phone without having to pay large excess amount for the phone of something happens?
