    Not sure. I've got one for the kid's birthday, but it's still in the box. Missus won't let me pull it out and build it to test..

    It's mixed results according to the previous post.

    "Ours works well on carpet and on our lawn" - reslo
    "It worked great for a year" - choofa
    "It was really slow and only last 15 mintues" - Ahan

    The decals have changed, the performance / quality may have done as well.

    I bought it for the kid learning to use the throttle / steering / balance skills - not for the speed/distance @ his age.

    If I remember, I'll update this in a couple of months with my testimony :)

      The speed would be as intended, suitable for a 3-5 year old.

    We got one a couple of years ago. The little one loved it at the time, but thankfully hasn't shown much interest in it since she got a scooter and a balance bike.
    It's slower than walking pace, struggles on even gentle inclines, so it's frustrating when you're trying to get somewhere. The accelerator pedal sticks so it doen't stop when the foot is taken off it!
    I also opposed it as the kid wasn't getting much exercise sitting on a motorized toy.

    Battery life seemed okay though.

  You need to cut up some push bike tires and screw these on to the back wheels to give it more traction, look at upgrading the batter to make it 24v and then it will go around very well

  7.2v lithium battery ( from RC shop) significantly improves the torque and top speed on these things. See YouTube for details :)

  Quick update - better than I expected.

  Single (rear right), which can spin a bit before getting traction on tiles or certain grass. Works most of the time, but you might have to push it along occasionally to get traction again. Works great on pavers.

  My 2yr old picked up the steering pretty quickly, which is what I was hoping for.

  Speed was quicker than expected. Battery life has been great too, probably had well over an hour over several days, no sign of battery reduction. I haven't run it out of juice and timed it though, but it hasn't died while playing.. yet.

  His uncle bought https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kids-electric-ride-motorcycle-b… ($49 trike), and this one is heaps better. The quad is a little faster than the trike, easier for a 2yr old to learn to steer, no stupid gimmicky noises or buttons to distract. Handle bar button accelerator compared to foot acceleration.

  So, for <$40, I was impressed.
