Anyone had luck getting this phone unlocked, either by getting an unlock code from Telstra, or by organising one elsewhere?
I have a friend who wants to move mobile plans but his ZTE Blade A475 is locked.
I've tried 3 different ebay sellers to get a code, but they all came back saying they don't have it it in their data base.
The owner of the phone can't get Telstra to send an unlock code, even though he's had the phone well over a year, and maybe over two years.

I'll get him to try and report back.The phone owner had some trouble again with getting the unlock code. Maybe doesn't want to pay anything to unlock, so has put it on hold for several months till it is supposedly free. I won't push the issue any more.
At least now he knows the procedure if he wants to do it.

It says follow the prompts so I'm hoping its automated? It also says:
So hopefully it will be free and automated so hopefully won't be any trouble? Or does that bring you to a person who is unable to give you the code?
Worse comes to worse, I'm pretty sure reflashing the device removes the lock but I haven't tried it in years and I don't know how easy it is to flash a new rom and to obtain an Australian one since its a ZTE.
