Factory 2nd/Refurb Hisense 32P4 TV

Hey guys,

Looking to replace a 32" TV for the bedroom, ideally a smart tv but want to try and keep the cost below $300..

I like the look of the Hisense 32P4 Smart Tv, retailing for about $400.. But I found a store in that sells factory 2nd/refurb tv's & whitegoods and they have this model for $289 (comes iwth 12 month warranty)…

Has anyone purchased a factory 2nd/refurb tv before? Any feedback or anything I should be weary of?

It's really going to depend on the seller, and who refurbished the unit. If it's manufacturer refurbished, it's usually alright, but if it's seller refurbed, then again it's going to depend on that seller.

Thing really to be aware of for reburbed units is what warranties and consumer protections you get with it - obviously it won't be as good as new units, but you want to make sure it's not effectively on an "as is" basis, which means if it breaks in a week, you're really up the creek.

We bought this TV the other day from Good Guys. $355.50 brand new. Good guys had 10% sale. $395 orig price.

My son loves it for gaming / Youtube in his bedroom. Not 1080p though - there is some deceptive advertising out there.

    There was a non-smart 32inch Hisense for $300.
