    Haven't used this model myself but have bought 3 Thorfire C8s and couldnt be happier. At least if you buy Thorfire you know its going to be really well made and bright as hell. Plus this torch comes with 3.7v 14500 Li-ion battery, so it will be a lot brighter than if used with your AA eneloops.

    As someone who also bought the $2 cheapies for the kids (and instantly regretted it) I dont think you can go wrong with this deal.

    Good torch. Bright with AA and even better with 14500. Only just realised it's got a glow in the dark ring around the bezel. I purchased the torch only so can't comment on the included charger.   Nice torch. Works well with regular AA's and is way brighter than I'll ever need. The lack of memory thing is an annoyance though. I'll be using the lowest setting 80% of the time which requires 4 presses to cycle through to.
