[PS4] GTA V $28.95 (Was $47.95) - Digital Download @ PlayStation Store

200

Was just checking out the PS Store on my new PS4 Pro (yes, ordered from Prime day deal posted on OzB) and discovered GTA V for download for $28.95, which is about 10 bucks cheaper than buying the physical disc through EB Games.

They also have GTA V: Premium Online edition, which includes original GTA 5 game plus Criminal Enterprises Starter pack going for $39.95

As the site says …
The Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack is the fastest way for new Grand Theft Auto Online players to jumpstart their criminal empires.

Get access to a huge range of the most exciting and popular content in GTA Online including properties, businesses, weapons, vehicles and more – all content valued at over GTA$10,000,000 if purchased separately.

In addition, you'll get GTA$1,000,000 in GTA Online to help launch your reign over Los Santos and Blaine County.

Considering, it costs an extra $11.25 to buy Bullshark Card Cash (which gives you 500K of in game money), then purchasing the GTA V: Premium online edition may appeal to some users here more than just buying the GTA V game outright.

Decent price for a game that's held its value for the longest out of any other game I'd say.

Campaign is amazing as is online.

People will complain saying everything online is too expensive and requires microtransactions, not true at all. I've purchased essentially everything in the online game without a single micro purchase.

“Held its value the longest out of any other game.”
Guess you haven’t played many Nintendo games ;)

      • True, for a game on the more popular systems though it has held its value really well.

        • Absolutely; it’s amazing it keeps hitting top 10 in the sales charts this late in its run.

      • Modern games I should reiterate lol.

        • Modern Nintendo games hold their prices mate, much better than any other platform.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: which ones would those be?

        • @Frayin: try looking at any first party switch game

        • @Frayin: Pretty much all of them. You’d be hard pressed to find any first party Nintendo games from the Switch, Wii U, 3DS or Wii generations going below $30 or $40; more likely they’re still selling for $50 or $60 years down the line. As for first party GameCube games or earlier, they go for more now than they did when they first came out.

  • And 22.95 for PS3 version which has free online play.

Cheapest I've seen it in Australia at least.

Do people still use ps3 lmao

      • Cheap bastards, certainly.

      • I kept using a PS3 for the kids until recently as didnt see the point in upgrading to a PS4, well until PS4 Pro was offered in a kick-ass deal.

The kids still happily use the PS3 as I dont see the point in spending more $$ to buy PS4 version of Minecraft when we already have the PS3 version.

      • Can't play MGS4 anywhere else. Or Ni No Kuni, A few Yakuza games, Demon's Souls etc

        • For exclusives I understand but for games that are on PS4 like GTA5 I really don't see why anyone would ever use the PS3.

        • Yeah that needs fixing so much, I love MGS4. I hope they rerelease a bundle on Switch with them all except Phantom Pain, they can keep Phantom Pain.

    • Lots of modders on ps3
