What's The Difference between The Good Guys & Bunnings for MHIA Split Systems?

Hi everyone, I'm looking around for some Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Split Systems.

Looks like Bunnings and Good Guys are the only real contenders for my business.

For Example, Bunnings have 2.5KW SRK25ZSA-W for $820

And Good Guys have a 2.5KW SETDXK09ZSA-W for $999

I am also after a 7.1KW unit and the same deal.

I have been into both Bunnings and GG and asked for an explanation but get the run around.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the units? Which is better? How much should I be paying?

Any help would be appreciated……. :)

What does your own research tell you?

  • That's the whole point. I can't find anything online to clearly differentiate the different offerings of Good Guys and Bunnings. Even the MHIAA website is unclear. That's why I was asking here. I have been into the both stores and the salesmen don't seem to know. The Good Guys salesman said that the one they sell is made especially for them. In any case, I will just go for the Bunnings ones which are cheaper.

It seems like dxk is the ‘defeatured’ model if you look at this thread https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1777088 (google ‘srk vs dxk’ to check further)

  • Thankyou matabuntu for your helpful reply. Much Appreciated.

      Thankyou for your neg

  • Update: I bought 3 x MHI Split Systems from Bunnings. Still don't know exactly what/if any differences there are. But There is a promotion until the end of August for around $200-$100 cash back depending on the size you buy. So pretty happy with that in the end. Now I just need to get a decent price for installation! :)
