    • Thanks mate. I have updated the description.

good for older kids to get a (very) brief overview of his life, but it's mostly a motivation book encouraging you to follow your dreams & don't give up. Oh and Edison (will) screw you, so bayonet the b@stard if you see him.

  • Did he make the Tesla electronic car?

    • +9

No, but I heard that Elon Musk is considering suing him…

      • +1

is that before or after Tesla said Elon can cram his mini-submarine sized metal dildo up his arse while in Thailand?

        • Only if he’s a pedo

Opps "Our records show that you already have Nikola Tesla: Imagination and the Man That Invented the 20th Century on May 10, 2013."

This guy was a genius, and a pioneer of the mgtow movement

    • Today I learned what mgtow means.

  • +1

he just copied the idea for the tesla coil from command and conquer

    • Or you mean c&c copied the idea and embellished it lol

Nikola Tesla: Imagination and the Man That Who Invented the 20th Century

    • Maybe Whom?

Let's not forget his contributions to mankind would not be possible if he dabbled in womankind.

All hail Tesla, the mgtow king.

    • It's hard to settle for a human female when you're in love with a pigeon.

He also believed in eugenics and thought people would soon select each other based on how suitable they would be as parents.

I think it's safe to say he didn't understand romantic relationships.

      • +1

An argument could be made that he barely understood the laws of physics, given the number of times he tried to invent what basically amounted to perpetual motion machines.

        • At the very least he had a warped view of them.

        • @syousef: Most geniuses seem to be a 'tiny' bit mad. So he believed in eugenics. Who didn't back then? In fact it seems to be the raison d'etre of the elitists of the day including Henry Ford and Charles Lindberg (just to name a couple). Regardless, those quirks didn't nor shouldn't undermine his scientific achievements or insights. The world might have been a much much better place if we had followed the insights of Tesla. Instead he was shut down by the likes of JP Morgan and Edison in the name of mere greed and fame.

Anyway, it's history now but always good to see these things kept alive by what we relegate to the 'fringe crowd', who knows what might come from it. :)

          @EightImmortals:

So he believed in eugenics. Who didn't back then?

Eugenics might have been popular but few scientists went as far as he did in their assertions on how it should be practiced.

The world might have been a much much better place if we had followed the insights of Tesla

Many of his "insights" were conflicted with reality and couldn't be put to use, otherwise they would have been. He was certainly wrong about DC power, efficient direct power transmission and some of his claims were pure nonsense.

Anyway, it's history now but always good to see these things kept alive by what we relegate to the 'fringe crowd', who knows what might come from it. :)

I have no problem with innovation or working outside the box. My problem is he worked outside of reality.

    Downvoted? Really?

The man may have been a genius but his exploits are overblown and his nuttiness overlooked. He feel in love with a pigeon for pity sake!!

    • I'm shocked you keeping plugging this.

      • +1

That actually made me smirk. Thanks.

    • He had an adventurous kid inside him, rather than conformist. The public-media ruined him I guess. Expected too much, then there's fear.
      Damned pity.
I think he tried to cheat his boss (wardencliff tower usage), that was a mistake.

      • Mentally ill people typically make a lot of mistakes. It's not something they can help. He was having hallucinations - talking to martians for example, and he was reacting to things atypically (wouldn't talk to a woman wearing pearls). When a person is mentally ill it is difficult to know what they do and don't have any control over.

    • He feel in love with a pigeon for pity sake!!

But he invented death rays and earthquake machines that no one can find anymore!

      • Wish he had invented an autocorrect that didn't make me out to no speaka da Engwish.

        FELL in love. FELL!

      • The death rays and earthquake machines are in area 51.

        • Area 51 is so X-Files dude. Area 52.6 is where it's at today.

  • Opps, already have it…

  • The death ray files were stolen by the CIA

    • Whats your default Amazon store country set as?

I got it on a previous deal.

The book is not worth the price being asked.

  • Thanks. It reminded me of a drama and docudrama I saw on SBS in the eighties.
Found the movie on you tube which is english, but not the other foreign program.
