How to Improve Xbox One Streaming?

So streaming plex over wifi (5ghz), chromecast 2 does it a lot better than the XB1 with no stopping for buffering etc. Both devices almost same distance to the modem and streaming computer.

Have got a spare modem already setup to connect to the network that I could try as a router, and hard wire the Xbox to that?

Otherwise I'm not sure how to improve it without going powerline Ethernet :/

Streaming 1080p mkvs, quality around 20MBps via plex

Any suggestions?

    Plex is apparently working with Microsoft to resolve it.

    Workaround:

    The only known work around is to ensure the file is direct playing or to force transcoding. Direct playing will allow full 4K resolution with HDR while transcoding would result in switching to H264 which strips out the HDR.
