Fix This: OzB site can't find near-matches, but still asks: "No Dip's?"

When creating a new topic, OzB's web app displays titles that may be sim. to ours.

In some cases, it finds/displays None

Still, it asks us whether we are sure there are No Duplicate posts or deals.

If none found, don't ask the Q.

Practical Wisdom once again strikes the
OzB Tower.

    first world problem.

  • The match algorithm can't be perfect so it's still good to have a reminder right?

  • Can you detail the steps to reproduce the issue? If fuzzy match returns some result it will show the "Not Duplicate" checkbox. However if you modify the title and it's no longer returning any match, the checkbox should disappear.

Or maybe you were using an unofficial app version of OzBargain?

    • Try a gibberish title (that shouldn't have anything close as a valid Subject / Title)
OzB's web app shouldn't find a "near miss" dup.
Still, it asked Not a duplicate? (or its sim. Q)

      • Oops, that didn't stimulate the symptom to show…

I did, however, fiddle w/ spacing & capitalisation
        and ask: Accept [our changes]?
