It seems that this does not apply to the gift cards: "Rewards are not payable on the purchase of Woolworths Gift/eGift Cards."

  It means that you can't buy eGift cards to get 4.5% Cashback, but you can pay for an order with eGift cards and get 4.5% Cashback on the order.

  Not according to the T&Cs. I have however successfully received cashback when paying with a voucher from a previous deal. YMMV.
