Cafe Dior - Zoupon (VIC)

Has anyone ever been to this restaurant or purchased the zoupon? I've been trying to call them for a while now, haven't managed to get a call answered.

From the looks of their facebook page, this isn't an exclusive problem to myself. I've emailed the deals.com.au customer service team (Zoupon renamed to deals.com.au), will post any further developments here.

  • Hi,

We went to Cafe Dior and used the Zoupon a few months ago and we were very happy with the service and the food. I notice they are only open for dinner two nights a week - when did you call them? See below for the info on their web-site re: opening hours.

    Opening Hours

    Monday/Tuesday:

    Closed

    Wednesyday/Thursday/Sunday:

    10am - 4pm

    Friday/Saturday:

    10am - 4pm

    6pm - late

I've been calling them most days for the last week - mostly before 4pm.

If those open hours are indeed correct, that is pretty disappointing - see conditions of zoupon below:

      • Valid for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings after 6.00pm (Saturdays
        available from 8 January!)

Nonetheless I wanted to use it last Fri or Sat, or this coming Fri or Sat but the phone has not been answered on repeated calling attempts.

Been calling again today, still no answer.

Did you make a phone booking? The website and voucher both have the number (03) 9826 8040 which is what I have been trying.

      • Maybe e-mail the address listed here: http://www.cafedior.com.au/contactus.php

Have attempted that with no success.

Someone from Deals.com.au customer support emailed me yesterday after I sent an email to their info line rather than support. She has said she will call Cafe Dior and discuss with them.

Since I can't call them, I'm not sure she is going to have much luck. At least then my frustrations might be understood.

Still no response from Cafe Dior or Deals.com.au. This is starting to get a bit frustrating.

  • I'd rather try to stay away from any deals from Zoupon after the bad experience I had after I bought 8 coupons for Olympic Ice Skating Centre at Oakleigh and ended up throwing them into the bin. When I bought them the condition was to use them before 31st Dec 2010. I was thinking to go there with my kids and friends during the school holiday time in December. I gave the Ice Skating place a call on 20th Dec to make a booking. Then the person who answered the phone said that we don't have to book just come any day beore 31st as we have already purchased the coupons. So we decided to go there on 22nd with all my friends and kids. Once we got to there we saw that the place was closed and reopenning after few days in the next year. So that our coupons were expired by teh time they reopen. So we never got a chance to use them. I am sure I might not be the only person faced to this after buying coupons from Zoupon. The person who answered didn't mentioned about the close down at all but the place was closed after just another day. Businesses can still make money for their Christmas close down period by advertising deals on Zoupon now has renamed to Deals.com.au.

After this incident, I saw some interesting deals on their site but I was affraid to buy them as there can be some hidden catch in those deals as well.

    Update:

I just got an email from Deals.com.au's support team saying that the owner of Cafe Dior has recently experienced a personal tragedy and has agreed to extend the vouchers.

As this is the case, I can understand having difficulty contacting the place and redeeming the vouchers. It was unfortunate that they weren't able to convey the situation to their customers and would have been ideal if they could, but given the circumstances that is very forgivable.

I look forward to having a similar experience to arcticmonkey's :)

  • Made an online booking, rocked up tonight to find the place closed. BAH! Least I found a good Korean joint a few doors down.
