Trying to get a refund from Konnect Shop

I posted a deal recently thinking I was doing the right thing posting a bargain but in the process have caused myself and fellow ozbargainers a bit of grief. The Konnect Shop clearly don't update stock on their shonky website and can't fulfill my order. I have called them 4 times & 2 emails and have been offered a call back on 3 separate occasions, which at this present time I have not received a call.

On my latest call I quoted their own terms and conditions back to them stating that they need to advise me of the cancellation of my order in writing & provide a refund. Of course they have not done this and I have not received a call back.

My questions is have I attempted to contact enough to proceed with a credit card chargeback ?

  • It is unfortunate that your post didn't work out. Its always buyer beware. Especially with online shopping. That's why I generally always buy from legit sites and larger stores. On eBay seller has to be at least 99& and I always check feedback. Paypal.

    Also I tend to email seller first if stock and see how long it takes them to respond. If they take awahile to respond then maybe I might not buy. Thats not to say that even if you did ask about stock that they would then not communicate back after sale. But at least you got to guage how their customer service communication is like.

  • Looks like I have the same problem. They are part of Coventry group so it's not a scam, just disorganised! That distinction probably doesn't help.

  • Apparently refunded today. Won't be shopping there again!
