New Ozito 18V Brushless lawn mower

Hey guys,

Have anyone actually brought one of Ozito's new 18V brushless lawn mower?

https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-18v-brushle…

Saw this from Bunnings on the weekend and the staff there told me this just got released two weeks ago.

Been looking for a proper cordless mower for my small lawn, but don't want to spend hundreds on a powerful 36V brushless one and also don't want to buy some cheap 18V brushed motor ones that some people are saying it is weak and requires you to mow the lawn more often to prevent stalling.

So anyone brought one and used it?

Cheers,

Temjin

Would be keen to hear from anyone who has used one, I have invested in several of the power tool skins so already have plenty of batteries.

Edit: I was actually looking at this one https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-2-x-18v-bru…

    • Ohh, I must have missed this 2x18V brushless model. 470 mm cutting width! Probably released at the same time as the 18V model.

  • interested aswell, go try it out op and report back!

See the above thread, also it is bought not brought.

    • Nah, the OP brought a bushless mower to brunnings

    • Yes, bought!

And I know about the offer from the above link. I did ask my local Bunnings store and they don't offer it.

I'm more interested to know the difference in capability between this new 18V brushless lawn mower and the 2x18V brushed lawn mower from your link.

I do know brushless motor tech gives an extra 15-20% efficiency and likely an increase in cutting power. But the cutting width is only 300 mm on this new brushless model while the 18Vx2 model is 330 mm. I did read around that cutting width is a good indicator on cutting performance.

  • Can't seem to find details/pictures of the blade it uses - does anyone know?

    • Metal blade. Looks like a small version from my old Victa.

  • Any update OP? What did you end up buying?

I am looking to purchase my first lawn mower as well.
